Team Coaching and Virtual Team Coaching

In which situations?

The team was just formed. There were restructuring or change processes. The team has a new team leader. Strategy has changed. Parts of the team tasks have been outsourced. Team members are suffering due to bad atmosphere or conflicts in the team or with others. A team wants to develop and exchange best practices.

What kind of teams?

SolutionsAcademy team coachings work for teams from diverse backgrounds: production, logistics, sales, marketing, administration, research and development, IT, etc. We coach teams on the shop floor level, management and executive teams. We can also support virtual and international teams in their respective languages through virtual collaboration platforms.

What are the benefits?

The team has formulated the next steps in the direction of a solution and is implementing them. It has strengthened its ability for finding solutions collaboratively. Future difficulties are more easily dealt with through resource and solution oriented communication established in the team coaching.

Where have we done this before?

We have been coaching teams in Europe, the US and Asia since 1996. We mainly work in the financial sector, the pharmaceutical and chemical industry and in the IT and other technology fields, for medium-sized to large global corporations. References are available upon request.

How does it work?

  1. Clarification of goals and framework with the team leaders, HR, the team leader’s superiors (depending on the issue)
  2. Interviews with team members, superiors, peers, relevant stakeholders (for example customers)
  3. Written report
  4. Workshop on identified topics
  5. Implementation
  6. Follow-up 3 months later

Who are the coaches?

We work with a large international network of experienced solution focused coaches who can coach in almost all languages.

Virtual Team Coaching

Teamcoaching for (international) Teams at different locations

 In which situations?

A team is located in different regions, maybe even across time-zones – could be a project team or a global team of a large international organization. There are difficulties in coordination and commitment and (culturally adequate) communication isn’t working too well. A global virtual team has just been initiated. The strategy of an organization has changed and the tasks have to be redistributed.

What are the benefits?

Goals and strategy of the virtual team are clear, the distribution of tasks is transparent. Open communication and mutual understanding has improved through resource and solution oriented coaching. Teleconferences are more effective. Intercultural sensitivity has improved and it is easier to communicate degrees of urgency. There is more and clearer commitment. The team members know about and appreciate each other’s competence and good intentions.

Where have we done this before?

We have years of experience in coaching virtual teams – in fact we were involved in probably the first such projects on the market. We mainly work in the financial sector, the pharmaceutical and chemical industry and in the IT and other technology fields, for medium-sized to large global corporations. References are available upon request. You can find case studies at:

Which platforms do we use?

We have worked with probably all of the existing virtual collaboration platforms and specialize in the interactive facilitation of web-conferences. Our virtual team coachings either start with a face-to-face kick-off or purely virtual in a teleconference and web-platform meeting.

How does it work?

  1. Clarification of goals and framework with the team leaders, HR, the team leader’s superiors (depending on the issue)
  2. Interviews with team members, superiors, peers, relevant stakeholders (for example customers)
  3. Written report
  4. Optional: face-to-face kick-off
  5. Webinar workshops / telephone conferences on the identified topics
  6. Follow-up 3 months later
