You love great conversations and really enjoy it when people come to you to talk things through, you are a natural coach. Perhaps you are already practicing coaching either in your company or in private practice. Could also be that you are a complete beginner. You might be working in HR or as an Agile Coach and are looking to build on your interpersonal skills to professionalize your coaching. Or you are a leader and would like to gain some more structure in the great conversations that you are having every day. You would like to feel more confident and professional in your (coaching) conversations and feel like you know what you are doing.
Yet, there are so many coaching courses on the market! How to choose? You don’t want to pay a lot of money for a course that will leave you unprepared or potentially confused. You want a well structured model, easy to apply guidelines and a lot of practice in the course so you are optimally prepared. Also, you don’t have all the time in the world and would like this to be happening in manageable chunks. And last but not least: you want to demonstrate your quality as a coach and set a clear signal to the market that you stand for an ethical and serious practice. The best way to do that is to be certified by the International Coaching Federation, the “gold standard” for coaches and as a practitioner with EMCC. Our course is the only one (we know of) that will offer you the training and mentoring hours for these 3 certifications: ICF ACC, EMCC Practitioner and IASTI Solution-Focused Practitioner
Coaching Fundamentals teaches “Solution Focused Coaching” an easy to use and easy to apply, yet structured, professional and evidence based approach. You will have the certainty that your coaching has a solid foundation. Your customers will have the certainty that you are a professional coach since the course is fully accredited with the International Coaching Federation.
It offers you all the training and mentoring hours needed four your ACC credential under the ACSTH or Level 1 track. For ACTP or Level 2 add Coaching in Organizations.
The course runs for 24 weeks, 2 hours a week and is purely online, so very manageable. We start courses 5-6 times a year at different times of the day and days of the weeks, so there will surely be a course that fits your schedule.
There is lots of additional material available for your learning and you will be able to practice what you have learned in peer groups as well.
You can gain your coaching experience hours by doing reciprocal coaching with our graduates in our platform or by doing pro-bono coaching which we offer to organizations.After the class, you have access our business development program for a highly discounted price. Also, there is continuous support by our regular meetups where you can ask anything that may come up in your practice. When does the next program start?
We run “Coaching Fundamentals” leading to ICF ACC and EMCC practitioner certification five or six times a year, starting in February, April, June, September and November with different times of day and days of the week. There should be a suitable start point for you. If not, write to us and we will see if we can get people together for a class at the time that you want🙂
What guarantees the quality of the program?
- The programs is accredited as Level 1 and ACSTH by the International Coach Federation, the international gold-standard for coach training programs and as EQA at practitioner level guaranteeing the international recognition of the quality of the training.
- We are subjected to the regular incremental renewal process of the International Coach Federation and the EMCC.
- SolutionsAcademy is an accredited member institute of IASTI the International Alliance of Solution Focused Teaching Institutes guaranteeing the firm grounding in Solution Focused, a practical, respectful, resource- and progress oriented approach.

Can I really attend the program from anywhere in the world?
- Your time investment is two hours every week and 2-3 hours self-study and reflection. Even busy people will find the time to profit from our training without putting a strain on their life. In fact, since you are being coached as well as learning to coach, your life will probably become even easier when you join our training.
- You participate online and from your desk or hotel room. There is no need to spend valuable hours in trains, planes, automobiles or hotels saving you time and energy.
- The system is stable: you can dial in via phone or internet — so you really can attend from anywhere!
- The sessions are run with Zoom: as easy to connect as a mouseclick. There is friendly support for technophobes. Offline material is available in a modern “moodle” environment. You can access the learning material whenever you want, wherever you are, which gives you optimal flexibility and choice on where and how to spend your time.
- The small group with a maximum of 12 participants and the possibility to do breakout rooms in the virtual environment for even smaller groups make the training highly interactive. You get lots of hands-on practice and feedback so that you learn fast, efficiently and effectively.

Who are the trainers?
- All trainers are certified ICF and EMCC coaches.

- Kirsten Dierolf, ICF MCC, ACTC, EMCC MP, ITCA MP, ESIA our program director, is member of the assessor team for the International Coach Federation for PCC and MCC candidates.

What are the steps to certification?
ICF ACC “ASSOCIATE CERTIFIED COACH”
Receive from SolutionsAcademy (included in our price)
- 60 hour coach training program with Level 1 certificate (which you receive from us after successful completion of the program)
- 10 hours mentor coaching (included in our program)
- Performance evaluation by the provider (in this case from us - we observe your coaching in a recording during mentoring, if it meets ACC criteria, you "pass")
Additionally go to ICF
- Fill in the application
- Paying the certification fee
- Attesting to 100 hours of coaching experience (having coached)
- Passing “ICF Credentialing Exam” administered online by ICF after registration for the certification
EMCC “PRACTITIONER”
- Gain 100 hours client coaching experience
- Successfully participate in class
- Fill in a portfolio document

What are the languages of the program?
- The program is currently available in English, German, Italian, Farsi, Romanian, Polish, Czech, Turkish, Chinese and Arabic
- We are actively working on a Spanish and Japanese version – please contact us if you are interested
- All other languages available upon request (large trainer pool)
- All time zones and almost all major languages can be arranged if you have a group of 6 people
What are the technical requirements?
- The program is run via zoom
- International phone dial in is available guaranteeing stable operation from almost anywhere
- If you want to join via computer, you will need a camera and a headset
What is my investment?
- ICF Level 1 / EMCC EQA practitioner leading up to ACC / practitioner certification including all mentor coaching hours (mentor coaching market value = 2000 €): 2800 € (plus 19% VAT)*

- * VAT applies for all bookings within Germany (B2B and B2C), for individuals in the EU without a valid VAT number and for bookings outside the EU. For companies in the EU reverse charge applies. Companies outside the EU need to supply a proof of local company registration for us to be able to forgo charging VAT.
- The course can be paid in installments and we expect to have been paid in full before the end of the program.
- Any cancellations will have to be in written form. If the participant cancels later than 30 working days before the start of the program, 60% of the fee (and VAT if applicable) will have to be paid as an administrative fee. The date of the cancellation is the date when the training provider receives the written cancellation. Participants cancelling later than 14 days before the program start or participants who do not attend the program will have to pay the fee (and VAT if applicable) in full.

In Coaching Fundamentals, you will learn the fundamentals of Solution Focused Coaching and the ICF core competencies and EMCC core standards at practitioner level. It is a highly practical, interactive and live online course (not a boring webinar) in which you will interact with people from all over the globe. The course includes 7 hours group mentoring and 3 hours individual mentoring (which you have to book with your mentor — they are not scheduled in advance). There is also a requirement of 2-3 hours of self-study reading articles, reflecting on your experience, watching coaching videos etc. on our “moodle” online learning platform and/or participation in a peer group (via zoom or skype) per week.
This training course is the prerequisite for joining the course “Solution Focused Coaching in Organizations”. Both courses together make up a full ICF ACTP (Accredited Coach Training Program). Upon successful completion of “Solution Focused Coaching Fundamentals” and “Solution Focused Coaching in Organizations”, you can apply as ACC or PCC under the ACTP regulations of the ICF. If you complete Coaching Fundamentals, you can apply as ACC under the ACSTH or Level 1 track. You will also receive a certificate as ” Solution Focused Practitioner” from the International Alliance of Solution Focused Teaching Institutes once you have successfully completed this class and have coached clients for 100 hours.
To receive your ACC credential by ICF after successful completion of the class you need to:
- start your application with ICF and pay for the credential
- submit your SolutionsAcademy certificate to ICF
- attest that you have 100 hours of coaching practice. We support you to gain client coaching experience through access to our alumni platform and organizing pro-bono coaching for organizations
- pass the ICF Credentialing Exam (administered by ICF)
To achieve your EMCC accreditation as practitioner after successful completion of the class you need to:
- fill in a portfolio document
- be recommended by us to EMCC for the accreditation
- pay your accreditation fee
If you need to miss a class, you can watch the recorded session. We expect you to miss less than 15% of the classes to be able to graduate. If you need to miss more, you can either join another class later (for free) or book individual mentoring hours (at an additional cost) to make up for the time.
The minimum number of participants is 6 (we can arrange for classes for specific groups if you would like), the maximum number is 12.
