Dr. Jeff Chang is a professor of counselling psychology at Athabasca University in Alberta, Canada, a clinical supervisor at Calgary Family Therapy Centre, and a Registered Psychologist in private practice. Jeff participated in some of Michael White’s earliest narrative therapy trainings in North America in 1980s, and became intrigued with the similarities and differences the two approaches. Jeff has used solution-focused and narrative approaches in children’s mental health services, employee assistance programs, and private practice, and has applied SFBT and narrative approaches with youth in care, adolescent and adult offenders, and families experiencing high-conflict separation and divorce.
